Women in STEM and the outdoors

Julianna “Cosmic” Desiato is a part-time Girl Scouts of Colorado staff member who works with the Outdoor Adventure Club. She is also  a senior at Colorado School of Mines in Golden. For her final in a “science communication” class, she wrote a paper about the OAC, why women are discouraged from entering STEM fields,  the outdoor industry, and how creating programs that combine the two can do a whole lot of good for girls.
