We are three sisters amoung the over 1000 girls and boys who make up Westernaires, a volunteer, non-profit youth organization in Jefferson County. Westernaires promotes self-respect, responsibility and leadership through horsemanship and family participation. For 66 years, Westernaires has proudly trained young people to use their talents and skills in the best traditions of the West.
Every Summer the Westernaires precision mounted drill teams travel the western states to perform shows at rodeos, parades, and fairgrounds as well as performing dozens of acts at the National Western Stockshow each January.
We all especially look forward the last weekend in October when we get put on our Annual Horsecapes Show right here in Denver where we can showcase our riding abilities and all our great acts. These shows include Precision Drill at speed, Trick Riders, Steppes Riders, Bullwhips, Chariots, Flaming Baton Twillers, Roman Riders, and many other great acts. The shows are 2 hours with over 200 horses. If you love the west or love horses, this is the show for you.
The shows are Saturday Oct 24th at 10am, 2pm, and 7pm and Sunday Oct 25th at 2pm at the National Western Stockshow Complex. The cost is just $10!
As a special offer for girl scouts, we are giving a behind the scenes tour through the barns to meet the riders and their horses after the 10am Saturday show.
This is great family fun and all proceeds from the shows go to support the organization and to feed and care for our 200 horses and ponies.
For tickets, please contact us at: westernairestickets or (303) 333-8723
We hope to see you all at the show!
Katherine, Josephine, and Elizabeth
