Hello and welcome to this blog! In this blog, I will be talking about the exciting parade that Sariyah, Aleksis, Anna, and I walked in. This parade was held on August 24, 2024 at the Loveland Corn Roast Festival.

Why Did We Walk in the Parade?

The reason that we all chose to walk in the parade is because of our beloved passion for Girl Scouts and for promoting the Girl Scout History Center in Loveland, CO.

Why are we promoting the Girl Scout History Center in Loveland, CO?

For background knowledge, Sariyah and I are focusing our Silver Award on the promotion of the Girl Scout History Center. If you would like more information, you can read about it on the GSCO website. Our goal is to bring as many people as we can to come visit the History Center, since it is not very known to many.

More info about the Parade:

As you know already, the parade was hosted on August 24, 2024 at the annual Corn Roast Festival in Loveland, CO. We walked with the Girl Scouts but as our own group to further promote Girl Scout History. Along with that, we all wore vintage Girl Scout uniforms that all dated between the 1960’s and the 1970’s! Our historical outfits brought much nostalgia to many! Everyone cheered and clapped as we walked by. We were even announced on the big speaker by the name of “Pirate Radio”. Overall, the experience of walking in the parade made me feel like a million bucks! And, I am proud to help promote the History Center!
