Parker Girl Scout wins T-shirt design contest

Girl Scout Camp is a place where YOU can be YOU! That’s why we asked YOU to design the T-shirt for Girl Scout Camp 2015.

Choosing a winner wasn’t easy. We received more than a dozen entries! On Friday, January 30, 2015, Girl Scouts of Colorado was proud to tell Kayla that her design was chosen for the resident camp T-shirt!

We love the concept. While there will be a few changes to the design, the spirit of her artwork will be translated to the new shirt!

When asked to describe her design, Kayla wrote, “I wanted to make an outdoor scene that would represent how Girl Scouts can do anything when they put their minds to it.  The three girls signify teamwork and how when you work together you represent the Girl Scout Oath.  The Girl Scouts worked together to make a fire that would spread Girl Scout cheer.”

Kayla is a 12-year-old Cadette Girl Scout from Parker. She will receive a $50 camp credit, which she will use to attend “Me & My Guy” at Tomahawk Ranch this summer.

*** Registration for Girl Scout summer camp is now underway on the Girl Scouts of Colorado website girlscoutsofcolorado.org
