Outdoor Skills Days registration now open for Brownies and Juniors

An older Girl Scout helps two younger Girl Scouts operate a camp stove.

Troop 7 hosts an Outdoor Skills Day every year (for over a decade). This year's Outdoor Skills days will be April 5 and April 12, 2025. Pick the date that works for you! Each one will be from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

At this event Girl Scouts will learn many skills, including: tent and campsite set-up, knife safety (requires leaders’ attention), compass use, outdoor cooking, fire building, emergency first aid, planning a campout (including gear list), and protecting nature with Leave No Trace.

Brownie badges that have some or all requirements met include Cabin Camper, Eco Friend, Outdoor Adventurer, and First Aid. Junior badges that have some requirements met include Camper, Eco Camper, and First Aid.

Girl Scouts will be grouped with their troop even if they sign up separately. Cost includes lunch and supplies.

The April 5 session will be hosted at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Address: 3960 E. 128th Ave., Thornton, CO 80241. The April 12 session will be hosted at Mt. View United Methodist Church. Address: 355 Ponca Place Boulder, CO 80303

Younger Girl Scouts have fun learning from the older Girl Scouts! Use this Cheddar Up link to sign up and pay. Troop 7 looks forward to sharing the day with Brownies and Juniors!
