Longmont Cadette troop finds bear tracks on a nature walk

Longmont

Recently, the Cadettes of mega Troop 70274 went on a trip to Flatirons Reservoir for the day. The troop planned a hike to the dam at the front of the reservoir. The man-made body of water was being drained for routine maintenance. While walking across the muddy banks, the troop discovered many animal tracks, including sea birds, mule deer, and a bear! A ranger took the Girl Scouts back to the tracks with a book and lots of information to share about wildlife movements in the area. It was a fantastic experience! It was even a quip on 9News.com (http://www.9news.com/features/girl-scouts-find-impressive-bear-tracks-at-flatiron-reservoir/349356630). Oh, where Girl Scout adventures take us!
