GSUSA is seeking up to 11 new members to join the National Girl Scout Advisory

Board to GSUSA for a two-year term. Applications are due Jan. 22, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.


The National Girl Scout Advisory Board to GSUSA is a group of middle and high school Girl Scouts who make recommendations, contribute to key initiatives, and influence decision-making processes with our national office. Advisory board members develop leadership skills, collaborate with decision-makers at GSUSA, and grow skills to prepare for post-secondary education and future leadership opportunities.


Members of the Girl Scout Advisory Board to GSUSA contribute to many different projects, such as:

  • Brainstorming names for new cookie flavors

  • Giving feedback on Highest Awards recognitions

  • Participating in GSUSA-led research

  • Sharing opinions on new program content

  • Meeting with international Girl Guides and Girl Scouts


Applicants must be:

  • Current Girl Scout in 6th – 10th grade.

  • Interested in taking on a leadership role at the national level of Girl Scouts.

  • Able to communicate with peers and with adults.

  • Able to work well independently and with a team.

  • Committed to using technology for research and communication.

  • Members of the advisory board should not have other roles during the Convention, such as national delegates.
