Inspiring Futures – Auto Racing Mechanic

Motorsports is much more than a sport. It’s a high-speed harmony of cutting-edge engineering leveraging elite athleticism complemented by strategic business operations to accomplish goals both on and off the racetrack.

Paretta Autosport made history in 2021 by being the first female-forward team to qualify in the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 with a team that was approximately 75% female. Lauren Sullivan served as the performance engineer for the No. 16 IndyCar team and Madison Conrad was the inside rear tire changer and mechanic. Both Lauren and Madison were already working on race teams when presented with the opportunity to join Paretta Autosport, Lauren as an aerodynamic engineer for Team Penske and Madison as a Powertrain Reliability Specialist for Roush Yates Engines.

Taking different paths to the same team, Lauren and Madison will share their experiences and insight while highlighting the diverse opportunities within motorsports. Join us to hear from these trailblazing women who turned their passion into a career!
