First Aid with South Metro Fire Rescue

Girl Scout Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes are invited to learn first aid with South Metro Fire’s first responders on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 9 a.m. – noon. You will also get to talk to firefighters about their jobs and learn basic first aid skills to earn your “First Aid” Badge. Register online: https://www.girlscoutsofcolorado.org/en/events-repository/2019/first_aid_with_south.html

Stations will include:

  1. How to get help from 911

  2. Talk to someone who treats injured persons

  3. Basic first aid kit

  4. Clean minor injuries

  5. Prevent/treat outdoor injuries (bee stings)

  6. Shock types

  7. Weather injuries (hypo and hyperthermia)

Badges are included in the cost of the workshop and they will be distributed at the event.

A basic liability waiver will need to be submitted for each girl upon check-in at the event. The waiver will be emailed out ahead of time and available at check-in. We ask that girls bring a full, reusable water bottle with them as well.

This is not a drop off event. All Girl Scouts must attend with her parent/guardian or troop leaders. Adult to girl ratios for events must be met. Troop Leaders: we suggest registering troops individually.

Registration will close when the event has met capacity OR on Tuesday, September 10.
