First-Aid with South Metro Fire Rescue

This event has been cancelled as of Monday, March 9, 2020.

Girl Scout Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes are invited to learn first-aid with South Metro Fire’s first responders, talk with firefighters about their jobs, and learn basic first-aid skills to earn your “First Aid” badge.

Time: 6 -9 p.m.

Registration End Date: Thursday, March 12

Program Levels: Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Adult/Volunteers

Girl fee: $5, includes first-aid kit and badge or patch

Stations will include:

  1. How to get help from 911

  2. Talk to someone who treats injured persons

  3. Basic first-aid kit

  4. Clean minor injuries

  5. Prevent/treat outdoor injuries (bee stings)

  6. Shock types

  7. Weather injuries (hypo and hyperthermia)

First-Aid kit and badges are included in the cost of the workshop. Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the activities!

A basic liability waiver will need to be submitted for each girl upon check in at the event.

This is not a drop-off event. All Girl Scouts must attend with her parent/guardian or troop leaders. Adult to girl ratios for events must be met. Troop Leaders: we suggest registering troops individually.
