Have you heard about the Lucy launch, a first-of-its-kind mission for NASA to explore Jupiter’s elusive Trojan asteroids?!? Over here at Girl Scouts of Colorado we are VERY excited for this deep-space exploration and have partnered with Lockheed Martin to dive into the science behind it. On Wednesday, October 27, from 6– 8 p.m., Girl Scout Cadette, Senior, and Ambassadors are invited to this exciting event to hear from scientists at the Southwest Research Institute, complete a STEM activity about solar power, and participate in a career panel to learn about Lockheed Martin’s High School internship program. Each registered Girl Scout will be sent a STEM activity kit to complete the solar power activity and a fun patch from Lockheed Martin. Registration is limited to 50 Girl Scouts and closes October 8.
